The November Talks lecture series will conclude and the trio of architects will be joined by architect, urbanist and scientist Matthew Carmona.
Matthew Carmona is a prominent urbanist and architect. He is a professor at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London, where he teaches urban planning and urban design. His research focuses on the management of urban design and public space. He is the chair of the Place Alliance, a movement for the quality of the built environment, and is the author of 12 books which are the basis for the teaching of urban design in many schools. In Prague, he is involved as a member of the jury in the organization of the Florenc 21 competition for the revitalization of the Masaryk Station area.
The lectures in English are intended for the general public, admission is free and the venue is wheelchair accessible. The programme will also be streamed on the YouTube channel. A welcome drink will be available from 5:30 pm, together with an informal meeting with the speakers.
The November Talks series has been supported by the Sto Foundation at European schools of architecture since 2006. This year, November Talks are also being held in London, Paris, Venice, Stuttgart, and Graz.
