CENTRAL GROUP announces a traditional competition for students of architecture and related disciplines.
This year's theme is "Design of the National Concert Building - Vltava Philharmonic" with the subtitle "What form could the new architectural landmark of Prague take?".
The purpose and mission of the competition is to design an inspiring urban-architectural concept of the new national concert building – the Vltava Philharmonic in Prague's Holešovice. Competitors are expected to come up with a range of inspiring ideas on how to integrate the Vltava Philharmonic building into the complex conditions of the site. Leading architectural experts will be involved in the judging.
The winner of the competition will receive 100 thousand crowns from CENTRAL GROUP, the second place student 50 thousand and the third place 25 thousand crowns. This time, the author of the winning design will be able to enjoy an internship at the prestigious Josef Pleskot architectural studio.
The students' work will be evaluated by our traditional jurors, architects Zdeněk Lukeš and David Vávra. The media will be represented on the jury by Alena Řezníčková, editor-in-chief of the bydleni.idnes.cz portal.
Students will have until 31 January to submit their competition entries. Winners will be announced at a date to be determined by the announcer. Specific dates can be found on the competition website.
