This year's theme for the Xella competition is Intervention – what is next for Kopčany? Escape from the present into history and vice versa in the Czech-Slovak border area in Kopčany
Assignment:
The aim of this year's competition is to find an optimally feasible and sustainable concept for the gradual transformation and improvement of the historically significant area in the village of Kopčany, which has a border crossing into the Czech Republic via the Morava River, which does not separate but connects.
Awards for winners:
The winning entry will receive €4,000 and the other two winning projects will also receive financial rewards. Other prizes will be awarded by leading industry media in the form of subscriptions and book publications.
