Summer Stage

The subject of this bachelor's thesis was to design a summer stage as a replacement for a summer theater, situated in the park on the Střelecký island in Litoměřice. One of the main issues of the current theater is that it can't be used in adverse weather conditions due to open roof. However, my goal was not only to design a movie theater with roof, but also to extend its capabilities so it could be used, along with running movie projections, to host concerts or smaller theater perfomances. It should also provide an inviting public space, that would attract visitors even when the venue is not hosting an event. My solution was two fold. First, I have included a pub in the building itself, replacing nearby pub. Second, the building also serves as a viewpoint at the park in which it is located. While the pub is going to open only during summer months, the viewpoint is accessible all year long.
