HOŘÍN - HOMESTEAD

Rozum Inna

Architecture and Urbanism, MA diploma project

Annotation

The Hořín Estate is a multifunctional complex that combines community life, recreation, education and the winemaking tradition of the Czech countryside. The aim is to create a place with high added value for tourists, local residents and the professional public, which reflects the values of the landscape, sustainability and support of the local economy. The layout of the complex is based on the traditional arrangement of rural estates, where individual functional units are grouped around a central village square/yard. This creates a lively, natural community space. The architecture of the complex is based on classic Central Bohemian estates and manorial farmyards, but brings a contemporary concept of materials, light and space. It uses simple, elegant materials with regular roofs and muted colors. The project continues the spirit of the place Hořín - cultural monuments, Baroque landscape and becomes a modern economic and cultural center that does not contradict history, but continues its legacy
