Design, Bachelor Project

Annotation

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design of bar glassware, specifically in the context of cocktail culture and mixology. The aim of the project is to create a series of glasses that not only functionally complement the character of individual cocktails but also enhance the overall guest experience during service. The design emphasizes aesthetics, individuality, and the connection between design and emotion. The resulting collection reflects current trends in bar service while respecting the technological and material specifics of glass production. The project is based on an individual approach and the ambition to create functional, visually striking, yet subtly unified objects that serve as a tool of communication between bartender and guest. The collection consists of six original designs, four glasses created for classic cocktails and two designed for signature cocktails developed at the Cobra bar, where the project was also consulted. This work thus represents not only a design intervention but also a contribution to the discussion about the role of the object in experiential gastronomy and contemporary bar culture.
