Annotation

The proposed building is located in the Prague 5 - Smíchov district. The main function of the building is an office for the adjacent district. The building houses a small café, a multifunctional hall that can be modulated into several modes, a library and the office itself. It is a solitary building in the eastern part of the 14 October Square. The height of the building slightly exceeds the surrounding block of flats. The main entrance is determined from the newly created functional 14 October Square, while the other entrances follow the north-south line of the block development and rely on the partnership of the National House in Smíchov. On the eastern side, the square is connected to Zborovská Street, which serves as an important urban traffic artery, and to Preslova Street, which will be interrupted in order to create a residential square. Traffic from Preslova Street will circulate around the square in one-way lanes, from which there is also a designated entrance and exit from a parking lot located in one underground level under the entire square. The car park has a capacity of 150 parking spaces. In the vicinity of the building there is the National House in Smichov, Smichov Market, Portheim Gallery, St. Wenceslas Church, kindergarten and residential blocks.
