LIPNO REGION LANDSCAPE - SELECTED CASE STUDY

Recmanová Paola

Landscape Architecture, MA diploma project

Annotation

The project focuses on landscape planning around the Lipno reservoir the largest recreational water body in the Czech Republic, located in a protected landscape area. At first, the project is on a regional scale and defines uniform principles of nature protection and sustainable development for the whole area. These principles are then applied on the case study of the pilot site Bližná, where they are tailored to the local specific conditions while still aligning with the strategic objectives for the wider Lipno region. The outcome is a conceptual framework accompanied by a set of local interventions that spread out the visitors to the area and foster the restoration and protection of key local ecosystems.
