GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE OF PRAGUE - PLANNING THE URBAN GREEN SPACES

The diploma thesis focuses on green infrastructure as a tool for the sustainable development of urban landscapes. The theoretical part clarifies the concept and current approaches to green infrastructure, which remains ambiguously defined in the Czech context. The practical part is dedicated to Prague 9, where a concept of residential landscape is developed. It addresses issues such as ecological stability, climate change adaptation, stormwater management, recreation, and the protection of undeveloped land. The thesis demonstrates how the principles of green infrastructure can be applied in the planning of contemporary urban landscapes.
