Křivoklátsko - Identity, Inventory, Vision

The assignment for this semester focused on the Křivoklát region and its development. For my project, I chose the topic of the renovation of the distillery in the village of Nižbor. Historically, the distillery was located in a different place, closer to the Nižbor castle, but in my proposal I decided on a new location on the right bank of the Berounka River, where there is space for modern development. The entire building must be raised above the level of the hundred-year flood to ensure safety and protection against floods. The mass composition of my proposal is divided into four basic parts, which form a complex whole: the distillery itself, a fruit and herb warehouse, a shop, and finally accommodation for the distillery employees. The distillery in my proposal specializes in the production of spirits and plum brandy. The proposal also includes a residential building that will provide accommodation for the employees. This building contains a total of 8 residential units, 4 of which are maisonettes. The design thus seeks to combine production and accommodation functions in the Křivokládsko Protected Landscape Area.
