"Cities within the City" - The Corner Dweling Building

The assignment took us to Dolní Libeň in Prague, which until recently was romantic the suburbs. After the drastic interventions of the previous regime, such as the demolition of houses and entire streets to build a bus station, Libeň became not very attractive location. The assignment attempts to restore Libeň's lost charm. The new subdivision is an interpretation and combination of the original roads and streets and to create new blocks on the sites of the current station. My apartment building is located in the heart of the new subdivision. It offers a connection of the height differences of the streets na Hrázi and the newly created Horní Street using a double staircase from both levels. In terms of height the object is moderate in order to maintain pleasant street profiles.
