CITY SPA HUMPOLEC

Engineering works of Humpolec form a historical footprint characteristic of old Humpolec. A unique atmosphere is created in a relatively small area owing to the industrial architecture and distinctive topography. Today, the place in the immediate vicinity of the center is filled with buildings unsupportive of the city structure and a car park, the engineering works are falling into disrepair. The proposal envisages the preservation of valuable parts of the engineering works, the focal point of the project is a new building of the city spa, which has the ambition to become one of the first focus of the transformation of the territory. Both the spa and the engineering works play an important role in the newly proposed urbanism, articulating public space.
