Apartment House at the Corner, Podolí

The topic of the bachelor thesis is a design of an apartment building in empty corner gap between buildings in Prague, Podolí. The apartment building has two underground floors mainly for parking, an commercial ground floor and five floors of various flats above. Building fills conspicuous gap in the city structure and continues the local tradition of small shops on the ground floor. Locality and its atmosphere were main inspiration for the work. Apartment house was designed to unite the place and to be rational and positive newcomer in the district.
