LYSÁ NAD LABEM - THE CITY AND RIVER LANDSCAPE INTERACTION

The diploma thesis deals with the revitalization of the Elbe river landscape around the town of Lysá nad Labem and the future development of the town. Thesis sets out the principles for new development. It emphasizes the preservation and strengthening of the functions of the river landscape, which are becoming increasingly important in the context of climate change. It offers new land use respecting river processes. It works with the river floodplain as a multifunctional space, in which it focuses on hydrological function, landscape management, biodiversity, recreation and permeability.
