This manual is a response to the current condition of the G59 building, which has been deteriorating under the ownership of Prague 10. In light of this situation, we have compiled a set of guidelines outlining how the building might be re-inhabited, as well as how to navigate the overall process. Our approach is rooted in the conviction that existing buildings should be preserved and maintained, rather than demolished. We are concerned that private investors and developers often lack the incentive or willingness to undertake such restorative efforts. Municipal property is a finite resource, and as such, its disposal is not always prudent. In the absence of effective action from both the public and private sectors, the question arises: who will save the building?
