Annotation
The Otisk (Imprint) project explores the traces humans leave in the landscape, as well as the traces the landscape
leaves in us. Through working with place, memory, and material, it creates a space that intertwines personal stories with collective experience. The project emphasizes slowness, sensory perception, and a sensitive approach to context.
Otisk is a gesture—a moment of return from the nearby remand prison—a memory restored in the soil. A pond is
introduced, allowing the Litovický Stream to naturally seep beneath the prison, creating a space for stillness and
renewal. Here, water becomes the memory of the place—a silent witness to returns, and a sign of hope for future
transformation. The Otisk project proposes the pond as a solid yet delicately embedded element—a space.
