Sculptural Industrial Residence in Mayrau Park

The project focuses on an extension to the compressor station in the industrial area of Mayrau. It is based on the idea of a contrasting addition designed for artists, which builds upon the industrial character of the original compressor building. The new volume grows vertically above the existing structure, creating a strong dialogue between the old and the new. The extension employs a steel structure that references the construction methods of the original building. It is designed as a cantilevered steel framework, supported by slender steel columns that are also reflected in the interior of the compressor station.
