Parish Community Center

The site is located in the historic center of Plasy and forms part of the former monastery complex. The project restores the old stable building and adds a new annex, creating a parish community center. The restoration of the historic stable building works sensibly with preserved layouts in which it inserts new functions such as a community hall, craft workshops, 2 flats, a parish study and exhibition space with access to the tower. The new addition symmetrically complements the stable staging facility with arcades and creates a multi-level open space with an indoor garden and shared kitchens. The design also includes a small chapel as a place of silence and a reference to the spiritual journey.
