KROCLOV - FARMHOUSE FOR MILA(VER)

The studio project deals with the renovation of a South Bohemian farmhouse in the village of Kroclov near České Budějovice. Although the house has preserved its original form and character, it has lost its function over time. The aim was to find a meaningful contemporary use without disturbing its historic appearance. The design keeps the building’s character: original green shutters and doors are renewed, historical roof beams remain exposed, and the style of the surrounding buildings is respected. The result is a rural residence with a permanent housing unit in the former house and stables, and a large open space for short-term stays in the barn.
