RESILIENT SHORES

Annotation
This project aims to reconnect the Old Town and the Spa Town—two key parts of the city separated not only by distance but also by fear, following a devastating flood. The disaster caused major damage and left the people rightfully scared of the river.
My goal is not only to restore a physical link between these areas, but also to rebuild the relationship between people and water. To achieve this, I focused on enhancing the riverbanks through public spaces and green infrastructure.
The project introduces a network of pedestrian and bicycle paths along the river. As people move between the town, riverside parks and flood-resilient spaces invite them to reconnect with the water, turning it from a feared threat into a shared urban asset.
