Barndominium Vimperk

Located in South Bohemia, Vimperk faces a shrinking population as youth depart for urban centers. The Barndominium addresses this demographic shift by creating spaces that encourage young people to stay and engage with their community. The project acts as a bridge between generations, allowing students to tap into the expertise of the town's older residents. This is achieved through three specialized workshops—Woodworking, Gardening, and Printing—which reflect the fabric of everyday life in Vimperk. The architectural approach treats each workshop and its integrated housing as a separate volume, all unified by a singular, continuous facade.
