Shelter Řepy

Kamil Renčo

Annotation

The project addresses the design of low-threshold temporary accommodation for homeless people operating on the wet house principle. The facility provides a safe and dignified environment for a short-term stay, thus creating a transitional stage between life on the street and subsequent professional assistance or longer-term housing. Centralizing this function into one building allows for more efficient social work and increases the safety of public space. The ground floor houses the reception area, a dining area and separate commercial spaces, while the upper floors are intended for staff facilities and client accommodation. The building is designed as barrier-free, with an emphasis on clarity, safety and easy operation.
