Concrete Cloud

Raw and authentic. This project celebrates the ruggedness of the Bohemian Forest through material honesty and the tension between weight and lightness. The upper mass crushes the air below, creating a shield against mountain frost.While ribbed concrete echoes the forest's verticality, the glass parterre allows the slope to breathe. Designed for students and young residents, the lobby serves as a communal hub for study, cinema, and relaxation. The transparent base draws in southern light, while the solid upper floors offer a secure refuge. The building acts as a landscape metaphor: a parterre fading like valley mist beneath towering peaks.
