The Hayloft Via Appia Antica

This object was built as a hayloft in 19th century. It is situated aside famous ancient road called Via Appia Antica in Rome and belongs to the regional park. The design is proposing exhibition, educational and workshop spaces and a café. The concept of the interior is a dialogue between original raw masonry and the newly added constructions, which are all in pink colour. The round shapes repeated in every detail of the design are to highlight the contrast between the new and the original objects.
