THE STRING

Annotation

The project integrates sheltered housing into the structure of Jeřmanice and at the same time creates a new social center that this village was missing. The design sensitively enters the sloping land near the church, follows the local landscaping and, in a broader context, takes into account the planned kindergarten. The urban concept consists of four buildings with gable roofs and significant rafter overhangs. Three elongated family houses for clients with disabilities or seniors are cascaded along the slope. The complex opens into the village with the lowest main building with a sheltered workshop. Its angled shape defines a new public square with an amphitheater and kiosk. The design thus connects the social function with the revival of public life in a relaxed, park-like spirit.
