The former Jahn monument is a place of a strong atmosphere. The mythical center of the Germanic settlement was chosen by members of the local Turners to build a monumental mound overlooking the city. After the Germans left, it was blown up by the Czechoslovak army, its remains overgrown with oak groves. The project returns a human footprint to this mystical place, with respect for history and the idea of reconciliation instead of opening old wounds.
