Artillery barracks Okružní street

The buildings in Josefov, as buildings from the end of the 18th century, can no longer serve their original purpose and therefore need to be adapted and renovated for the needs of modern society. The simple barracks in Okružní Street, stretching around the whole town, were built according to the standards of housing of a time long gone. In the project the possibility of renovation of the buildings in the southeastern part is elaborated, which can be used around the perimeter of the whole city. The project aims to create a modern housing option for a diverse group of residents, as well as preserving the historic character of the town and bringing light into the building through the defensive wall of the fortification.
