Affordable housing Strupčice

Alexandra Bakajsová

The aim of the assignment was to design affordable housing for two people under 30, on a given plot with dimensions of 315 m². For affordability, I tried to keep the house relatively small (74.2 m2 of built-up area of the house). The concept of the house is to connect the orthogonal part with the organic part, which is defined by the shape of the pond. Another concept is the space created, the rooms are shaped like "boxes floating in a curved space". The whole house is made of small light bricks and the rounded part of the house is completely glazed, which connects the house with the surrounding nature, the lake. For affordability, I chose straight glass, which fulfills its function as well as rounded. The house and its concept is created for two young free-thinking people.
