IMPULSE

"IMPULZ" (Impulse) is the name of my project, through which I wanted to express the feeling that precedes the act of taking one's own life. This topic was inspired by the fate of the victim who committed this act on the Nusle Bridge, which was not planned. I wanted to reflect on the feeling that can drive a person to this decision. I designed an object that describes this impulse in three stages as a curve, and then I created a monument where these stages are displayed on different levels. First is feeling of stagnation (no way out of the situation, hopelessness), which transforms into an impulse (a sudden surge of emotions, thoughts, and memories), and finally leads to surrender (acceptance of the end). The main element is a triangle, symbolizing stabbing sensation emerging from pain.
