Rector of CTU urged Czech students living out of Prague to travel home before the upcoming weekend
11/3/2020
Vojtěch Petráček asks all students and employees of CTU not to underestimate the risk of infection with coronavirus Covid-19. According to estimates, the number of patients will grow ten times, on Friday March 13, 100 cases will be reported, mostly in Prague, and a week later by 1,000 patients. "The development of diseases in other countries shows that this will happen before the recent regulatory measures take effect," the Rector said.
Being afraid of possible transmission of the disease from "invisible cases", Rector of CTU asks all Czech students living out of Prague not to stay in the dorms and leave home as soon as possible and not after the weekend. He also recommended minimizing public transport operations and journeys, working from home and resolving all issues that require movement and travel as soon as possible.
