One of the infected is a student of CTU

On Friday, March 14, 2020, the faculty management announced via a website and faculty facebook that one of the infected people was skiing in Austria on the weekend of 7-8 March 2020. She went to an examination after the infection was confirmed in one of her friends.

As the student told the faculty management by phone, on Monday 9 March 2020 she came to school at 2 pm, took the elevator to the 7th floor, where she attended the Studio Mádr and a joint presentation of the Studios Mádr and Seho and then went home. She did not visit the University ArchiCafé. A student whose identity is not disclosed by the faculty has identified 3 people from the studio who are potentially at risk. However, all the students and the leaders of the studios concerned were contacted and were recommended for home isolation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Architecture again reminds all those who were present in any way in both studios, including the presentation, that they could have been in contact with the student. Avoid contact with others, inform your GP and follow their instructions, or have COVID-19 checked for infection.

The student does not have any symptoms of the disease, she had a test performed because of contact with a friend who had a positive finding. The management of the Faculty of Architecture immediately had the building vacated and disinfected and informed the affected persons. Entry to the building is prohibited until further notice, exceptions granted until further notice do not apply.

Since Tuesday, March 10, 2020, teaching at the faculty, as well as at the entire university, was interrupted by the Rector's order and students were denied access to the building. Since then, most of the staff have worked in the home office mode, with only a few staff at the faculty building.
