Shifting on the bridge. Even so, one could call the exchange of pedagogues at the head of three institutes of our faculty. After the decision of the selection committees, the dean decided to appoint doc. Tomáš Efler, Ing. Zuzana Štemberová and Mgr. Jan Zikmund to the new leadership of the Institute of Historic Preservation, Landscape Architecture and the Research Center for Industrial Heritage. Educators immediately received a survey from Alfa examining the professional "inner structure,” but also presenting the horizons of the three educational centers of the largest vocational school in the country.

In this context, we also present the two new heads of the Urban Planning and Fundamentals of Architectural Design studios, Šimon Vojtík and Josef Čančík.

Alfa navigates pedagogues with its ninth survey question on the topic of "places.” That is, places with a capital "M,” - the real mothers of all architecture. In the Knihomil column, student Miriam Seifrtová also touches on the topic, alongside urban planner Jana Zdráhalová – she in an essay on the city's resilience.

The new cantors even crown the chosen place with their hand sketch, and thus, together with fragile glass, a geographical net, a pencil hunted from memory... As a hidden reference to the imagination, as a key to the craft, but also to the age-old abbreviation "head - hand.”

Alfa also interviewed Lucia Ehrlichová, the new head of the Association of Architecture Students. Fresh blood - after the June elections of the student community - certainly does not signal a transfusion in the veins of the association, the beginnings of which can even be found as far back as the Communist Party, but the regular success of the organizer of the traditional competition Olovéný Dušan, or the famous Student Thursdays and the friendly platform in general. It is currently participating, for example, in debating the conditions of study at the FA CTU, including fashionable (or modern?) toxicity or the process of admission to studios, etc. And when the term "modern" was mentioned here: the interview recalls, in addition to the thirty-year jubilee since the resuscitation of the association in November 1989, also the professional legacy of its predecessors SPA, the founders of "moderna,” namely colleagues Engel, Kotěra and Janák...
