The 11th year of the free lecture series organized by the Department of Architectural Conservation of the CTU in Prague and the Institute of Art History in cooperation with the Czech National Committee ICOMOS led by prof. Václav Girsa.
Doc. PhDr. Martin Horáček, Ph.D., is a member of ČNK ICOMOS, lectures on the history of architecture and art at universities in Brno and Olomouc. The lecture will present the architectural heritage and care in Morocco, from ancient excavations (Volubilis) and fortified villages (Ait Ben Haddou) to the so-called royal cities with the largest preserved medina in the Muslim world (Fez, Meknes, Marrakesh) to traditionalist and brutalist 20th century architecture (Sidi Harazem, Rabat).
