The National Technical Library (NTK) organizes as part of the NCIP VaVaI project in cooperation with the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (VŠCHT Prague), the Czech Association of Doctoral Students (ČAD) and the Commission for Doctoral Studies at the Student Chamber of the Council of Universities (SK RVŠ) the second year of the Doctoral Summer School 2023 focused on transferable skills for budding researchers. The event will take place in Prague on September 15 - 16, 2023 in NTK and VŠCHT Prague. The official language of the entire event is English. More information here.

Conceived as a visit to an architectural triennial in the United Arab Emirates, the film features speeches by a number of international artists and architects in addition to a Nigerian curator. This inspiring cinematic meditation encourages pause and reflection on where architecture, and the world in general, is headed. Or have we gone too far?

Colloquium with Thomas Thaler
Following the Thursday's lecture, a colloquium with Thomas Thaler takes place on Friday, 10 October 2025.
The meeting offers a unique opportunity for open discussion with a world-renowned expert on just urban adaptation to climate change. Together, we will reflect on how to strengthen urban resilience without deepening social inequalities, address the risks of green gentrification, and explore ways to reconcile adaptation with principles of justice.
