With a background in sociology from Istanbul, she completed her master’s degree at Yıldız Technical University, where her research centered on women, the city, and cinema.
Currently, in her doctoral dissertation, she explores the comparative aspects of women’s walkability and urban experience in Istanbul and Prague.
Her research interests include urban sociology, women’s mobility and walkability, architecture and gender, visual culture and cinema, as well as urban memory and everyday life.
