MUNICIPAL CENTER MNÍŠEK

The diploma project focuses on the design of a new town center in the city of Mníšek pod Brdy. The proposal builds on a pre-diploma seminar during which a suitable site was selected based on a series of analyses. These included working with urban planning documentation, taking into account the needs of local residents, as well as requirements from the capital city administration. The building program was defined through a comparison and evaluation of reference projects for town halls, cultural centers, and libraries both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The resulting design presents a concrete vision of what a modern town center could look like and how it could function, responding to the current needs of the city and its inhabitants.
