House in the Gap HA24
Architecture and Urbanism, Bachelor Project
Annotation
The apartment building project complements the gap in Haštalská Street and responds to a number of urban and spatial challenges. On one side, the building is flanked by the distinctive Dlouhá Palace from the First Republic, and on the other by the lower U Zeleného stromu Palace. The irregular floor plan, the preserved building of the former stables and the passage on the land fundamentally influenced the architectural solution. On the ground floor there is a café that continues into the basement and an entrance area with a staircase and an elevator. On the other floors, apartment units of various sizes and layouts are designed, with the top floor being a loft with a spacious terrace. All apartments have large windows that provide plenty of light and allow views of Prague.
