IVANČICKO - THE FUTURE OF THE REGION BETWEEN THE METROPOLIS AND THE PERIPHERY

Ivančicko is a region of rural character, where the Brno agglomeration transitions into the periphery. Although small in size, Ivančicko is surprisingly diverse, with many preserved natural, cultural and technical values. Ivančicko retains a strong genius loci and due to its favourable transport accessibility from Brno it is a popular place for living and recreation. The thesis proposes a vision and concept for sustainable development of the region with a focus on improving the livability of the area and the state of the landscape with an emphasis on water retention and adaptation to climate change.
