Annotation
This bachelor thesis presents the design of an urban cruiser skateboard intended as a functional last-mile transport solution. The goal was to create a product that combines the technical advantages of composite materials with ergonomic and aesthetic qualities tailored to the needs of the contemporary city user. Based on a market analysis, historical context, user profiles, and material research, the resulting skateboard is lightweight, durable, easy to carry, and beginner-friendly. The product integrates technical innovations such as a manual brake system, a suspension-equipped truck, and a purpose-shaped carbon composite deck with a PET honeycomb core. The final outcome is a transport device that bridges physical activity and modern product design, offering a fresh perspective on urban micromobility.
