The aim of this bachelors thesis is to design a home appliance intended for milk frothing using a steam wand. The project responds to the growing popularity of home coffee preparation and the increasing interest in latte art, which has become an integral part of contemporary coffee culture. The thesis first provides a general overview of the development of coffee beverages, followed by an analysis of currently available commercial milk frothing solutions, including their advantages and limitations. Based on this analysis, a new solution is proposed a standalone device equipped with a steam wand, enabling users to create high-quality microfoam at home without the need to invest in a professional espresso machine. The resulting product emphasizes functionality, ease of use, simple maintenance, and aesthetic integration into modern kitchen environments.
