HELP DESIGN WITH A FOCUS ON A SPECIFIC GROUP

This thesis focuses on the design of an individualized visual wayfinding system for people with Alzheimer's disease. Based on an analysis of the target group and the principles of art therapy, I propose a service combining design and therapy. The central output is a set of icons based on personal interviews with clients, which were practically tested in the Alzheimer Centre in Roztoky. The design of the service also includes the concept of an open digital icon library, enabling international collaboration between designers. The work shows the potential of design as a tool for empathy and care.
