Annotation
The Boot & Bootie is a mixed-use residential building that integrates housing with a kindergarten. It is part of an urban design study aimed at revitalizing the area along the Botič stream in Michle (Prague). The building consists of six above-ground floors, with the first two dedicated to the kindergarten, which includes a private garden located in the inner courtyard. The residential section consists primarily of maisonette apartments accessed via an open gallery. Each unit features loggias that extend the living space from the interior space to the outside. The structural system is based on cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls. The façade incorporates movable louvers, which contribute to the buildings dynamic architectural expression.
