Public Library

The building is situated on the edge of the historical city center part of Mělník, to the east of the revitalized Charles IV square. The construction itself replaces and dissolves the current inadequate build-up. As an educational institution, it is located near the center and at the same time primary schools and grammar schools. The Municipal Library is designed for the inhabitants of Melnik and its surroundings. The library offers visitors a place to read daily press, listening nooks, reading and study rooms, and a lecture hall. In addition to the interior, rooftop terraces overlooking the surrounding area are also available for reading. Other areas inaccessible to visitors include repositories, archives and offices for day-to-day staff.
