HRADIŠŤSKÝ VRCH QUARRY

The project Basalt Quarry Revitalization and Space Regeneration is aimed at the preparation of the quarry for yearlong use with minimum resources while respecting the natural character of the site. The author intends to create an appropriate background for cultural and social events for up to 1000 participants as well as for small-scale activities. The architectural inputs operate with local materials in order to meet the basic ecological principles and respect the genius loci. The placement of each particular building then points out the uniqueness of each place. The author's detailed knowledge and personal experience of the events already held in the given area enables him to design a personalized solution that takes full advantage of this remarkable quarry.
