ŘEPY CEMETERY, PRAGUE

The cemetery is the final resting place and also the last memory of our loved ones. We do not want to forget them, so we should create and honor not only existing places where heaven and earth are a bit closer. In the cemetery in Řepy we think of our loved ones, we put flowers on the grave and climb the stairs higher. We rest among the birch trees, we find a framed picture of the landscape that will be closest to us at that moment, or we just sit in front of the gazebo, which on some days turns into a gazebo of final farewell. When we leave the cemetery when it gets dark, we can see candlelight behind us in the cemetery wall. And just across the road we find ourselves in a park where we can continue our contemplation, in a place of our own choosing.
