City market Prague - Florenc
Architecture and Urbanism, MA diploma project
This project describes the design of market in the current unsatisfactory space Florenc Prague district near the bus station and in front of the museum. It refers to the historical character of Prague's squares as places for marketplaces and trade. Spatial market design is based on the return of relations between the public space and sales space. This work defines an architectural concept consisting of two parts: an open public market place with vending kiosks and the object under elevated highway. Market place solves vending kiosks at open air space creating a positive friction with streams of people. The building under elevated highway performs storage and processing facilities for paddlers, includes fast-foods, restaurants and permanent shops as well.
