Semily - Řeky - Between the City and Countryside

The Sports Island. The aim of my diploma project was to design a conceptual solution of the area located between the Jizera river and the mill race of the former cotton processing textile factory. My work is not limited only to the development of the island itself, but it also extends to the nearby countryside. I propose to utilize the potential of this place as the area for sports and recreational activites by creating the system of tracks and paths. They will not only interconnect separated parts of the island but, at the same time, the island with the town and its surroundings.
