Railway station Hradčanská

The thesis solves a connection of Vaclav Havel Airport and Prague’s city center, specifically the design of a new underground railway station Hradcanska, its connection to other public transport components and addition of a public program, missing in the area. The design proposal aims at tearing down the barriers, created by railways in urban areas and creating a compact interaction between transport and amenities, corresponding with the importance of the place. The design, influenced by historic development of the area, also outlines a conceptual solution to neighborhood’s urban structure completion.
