Annotation
The aim of this Master´s thesis is a revitalization of the Statenice castle complex. Partially preserved historical buildings of the palace and farmyard buildings are originated in the Baroque, Classicist and First Republic era. Most of these buildings are currently in very poor technical condition. The goal of this concept is to develop a new municipal centre in the castle complex and its immediate proximity. This concept also emphasize sensitive and knowledgeable approach to the historical values of mentioned buildings. Preservation of the closed composition of the complex which was growing trough centuries and its elemental functional structure, which was used until the end of the 19.th century, are in this project considered as fundamentals. This concept presents two new buildings in the north - eastern corner of the complex. New buildings will keep the ground plan and volume of the original buildings from the twentieth century, which are now in disrepair. This project restores a brewery back into the castle complex, which has been working here until the turn of the 19. and 20. century and enhances it with a restaurant. Facilities such as library, municipal authority, building authority and exhibition display are situated directly into the building of the castle. Another needful community facilities are designed in the compound of the farmyard: café, accommodation capacities, administrative area, multifunctional hall and more shops and services.
