The initial impetus for a good “design” can never be just a schematic copying of some already existing solution. It is always necessary to have in your mind a certain comprehensive idea of the whole in itself, which in the beginning can be even be expressed with just a simple sketch, a set of pictures, a photograph, the right stone on the right paper ... The important thing is the feeling, the overview of the whole in its overcomplicated complexity. We arrive at the design of a building by the gradual steps of analytical searching and rational justification.
It is important for an architect to be able to surround themselves with top-class specialists from every possible profession: this is beneficial for creating a good building – and it is absolutely essential for bringing to life what may initially seem like a crazy hypothetical vision.
There is no single formula or style that is the key to success. What gives us the greatest pleasure is when a student (either on their own or with our help) finds their own approach and takes joy in their work. We strive to discover and respect in our students what is unique to each of them and what is worth cultivating further.
